About the role

This is a full‑time opportunity based in our Brisbane CBD office.

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you’ll help protect Stanwell’s critical infrastructure by monitoring, responding to, and strengthening our cyber security environment. You’ll work across operational security, incident response, vulnerability management and security tool maintenance, while contributing to key security projects.

Key activities include:

  • Triage and respond to cyber alerts, incidents and End Detection Response (EDR) events
  • Investigate logs using the SIEM solution
  • Respond/manage tickets from external Managed Security Services Provider
  • Manage and maintain security tools and configurations
  • Contribute to security‑related projects and compliance requirements
  • Support vulnerability management activities and remediation efforts
  • Liaise with internal teams, external partners and intelligence groups

 

About you

  • A degree in ICT, Computer Science or related discipline
  • Experience with EDR tools, cloud environments, applications, or identity access management
  • Ability to analyse threats, assess risk and provide pragmatic security advice
  • Confidence to learn complex concepts quickly and apply them in practice
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non‑technical stakeholders
