About the role

This is a full-time opportunity located in Brisbane CBD.

We are seeking a Commercial Analyst to support strategic and operational decision-making across Stanwell’s diverse energy portfolio. You will apply analytical, financial and market expertise to evaluate projects, support forecasting, develop financial models and contribute to key commercial insights.

Key activities include:

  • Completing strategic and operational commercial evaluations.
  • Developing and maintaining financial models and assumption books.
  • Supporting gross margin forecasting, long‑term revenue evaluation and financial reporting.
  • Contributing to asset valuation, impairment processes and project analysis.
  • Preparing high‑quality documentation and presenting insights to internal stakeholders.

 

About you

  • A degree in Engineering, Economics, Commerce, Finance, Mathematics or a related field.
  • Experience in the energy sector and proven financial modelling skills.
  • Advanced spreadsheet modelling capability (Python preferred), SQL/data query experience and proficient in Excel.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
