Office of the CEO

The Office of the CEO provides strategic leadership and governance support to drive the vision and direction of Stanwell. This division ensures that our organisation operates with integrity, transparency and alignment to our corporate objectives.

Business Services

Business Services is the backbone of the business and includes Information and Communication Technology (ICT), People and Culture, and Legal. These teams ensure that our systems, people and processes are well-supported and future-ready.

Energy Markets

Energy Markets is responsible for the trading of Stanwell’s generation in the National Electricity Market and the Stanwell Energy Solutions retail business, which serves commercial and industrial customers.

Teams include:

  • Modelling, Analytics and Regulatory Strategy
  • Retail

Finance

The Finance division includes financial planning, reporting and analysis, procurement and supply chain management. As a Government-Owned Corporation, our financial reporting requirements are robust and subject to high levels of oversight.

Growth and Future Energy

This division leads the development and delivery of Stanwell’s commercial projects. It is focused on clean energy generation and storage, including our pipeline of renewable energy projects and global hydrogen export opportunities.

Operations

Operations plays a key role in ensuring a secure and affordable electricity supply for Queenslanders. Jobs at our Stanwell and Tarong Power Stations offer the chance to be part of the transition from coal to renewables. This team works on innovative solutions to improve the flexibility and competitiveness of our generation portfolio.

Strategic Partnerships

Strategic Partnerships includes teams responsible for delivering Stanwell’s corporate strategy and sustainability commitments, identifying future partners and projects for the clean energy pipeline, and managing our extensive land and property portfolio.

The Future Pathways team focuses on building the workforce pipeline needed for the transition to clean energy.

Stanwell is a flexible workplace where varied work schedules are available depending on your role. Our Brisbane office offers contemporary flexible workspaces to match the demands of your day. A work from home schedule can be set up according to your job requirements and team dynamics. We offer generous leave benefits, including 14 weeks maternity and adoption leave. If you'd like to take more leave, we have a leave purchase scheme for up to an extra four weeks leave annually.
