About the role

This is a full‑time position based at Tarong Power Station. It is a hands‑on role supporting the day‑to‑day operation of the plant through dozer work, lubrication tasks, scaffolding/rigging services and general maintenance support. You’ll be part of a busy team that plays a key role in keeping the station running safely and reliably. You will work closely with mechanical fitters, operators and other maintenance teams in a fast‑paced environment where teamwork and communication are essential.

Key activities include:

• Operating dozers and supporting stockpile management
• Performing lubrication and preventative maintenance such as greasing, oiling and walkdowns
• Provide scaffolding, basic/ intermediate rigging or dogging
• Supporting general plant maintenance including housekeeping, inspections and basic mechanical tasks
• Using the CMMS (DMS/Ellipse) to close out work orders, raise defects and order parts
• Using electronic permit systems and contributing to safe work coordination

About you

• Experience operating dozers or similar machinery (civil, mining or industrial backgrounds welcome)
• High‑risk licences such as forklift or mobile plant operation
• Experience or willingness to train in scaffolding, rigging or dogging
• Experience in a construction or heavy‑industry environment
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Practical, hands‑on attitude with a sound mechanical aptitude
