SAMCo is hiring at Wambo Wind Farm, a landmark renewable project west of Kingaroy, delivering 500+MW of clean energy to power Australia.
About the role
This is a permanent and full-time site-based opportunity.
As the Site Lead, of the electrical balance of plant (EBOP) you will be responsible for the day to day and long-term operational and planning activities for all maintenance and services ensuring these are completed in an efficient and safe manner.
Lead and support a small team with the planning and scheduling of the day-to-day work activities for the site as well as undertake manual activities when required (on the tools). Key activities include:
- Supervise and mentor site staff, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality are achieved to a high standard.
- Provide all technical work associated with the preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance activities for site.
- Assists in the development of site-based maintenance procedures and schedules and ensure they are attentively followed.
- Timely response to corrective maintenance tasks, troubleshoot, diagnose, and correction of faults.
- Support with the administration and documentation for site including preparation, tracking, closing and recording of maintenance work orders.
About you
- Current Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Licence (or equivalent).
- High Voltage Operator (HVO) Switching Officer Certificate.
- Hold the qualification as Qualified Technical Person (QTP) under the Queensland Electrical Safety act or commit to obtaining the qualification within 3 months of taking up the position.
- Current “C” or “MR” or “HR” Driver’s Licence and White Card – Construction Induction.
- Significant experience in heavy industry maintenance techniques.
- Demonstrated leadership experience including effective oral and written communication.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management.
- Proven experience in:
- HV switching operator/develop switching instruction.
- Operation & maintenance of HV switchgear.
- Advanced fault finding with HV & LV electrical plant.
- Experience of the end-to-end workflow planning, developing and delivering to the schedule.
