About the role
This is a full-time entry level position based at Tarong Power Stations near Nanango. Working within the Operations team, you will play a key role in the safe and reliable operation of our water treatment and chemical plant systems.
You will monitor, inspect and operate plant equipment, identify and respond to operational issues, undertake plant isolations, and support the ongoing availability and performance of station assets. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working in a dynamic operational environment and contributing to the delivery of safe, reliable power generation.
The position operates on a 4-day week roster, with opportunities to provide shift relief and develop plant operating capabilities for future progression opportunities.
Key activities include:
- Operate, monitor and inspect water and chemical plant.
- Implement plant isolations and support maintenance activities.
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
- Conduct plant inspections and respond to abnormal conditions.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance and risk management.
- Contribute to the safe and reliable operation of Tarong Power Stations.
About you
- Trade qualification in an electrical or mechanical discipline (or equivalent).
- Work experience in an operations, maintenance or industrial environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- A strong commitment to workplace health, safety and compliance.
- Experience with water treatment, chemical plant operations and plant isolations will be highly regarded.
