About the role
This is a full time position based at Stanwell Power Station. The High Voltage / Low Voltage Coordinator assists Stanwell Power Station production teams, project teams and external stakeholders with low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) electrical operation, isolation coordination and execution at Stanwell Power Station. This position provides overall leadership and coordination of electrical isolations in accordance with accordance with Stanwell Corporation Policies, Procedures and established protocols to deliver safe work outcomes at Stanwell Power Station.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in maintaining SWS Authorisation across Power Distribution Strategies, and be able to coach and support site trainers, managers and other employees.
- Co-ordinate the writing, checking and execution of LV and HV Electrical Isolations for major maintenance activities to enable effective isolation, safe access and work flow.
- Assign appropriately trained and authorised persons to write LV and HV isolations within their level of competence.
- The authorisation of SICs to proceed at a nominated time and date considering the effects on plant and network as required.
- Perform the role of Outage HV/LV Switching Coordinator
- Arranging for planning and approving of switching isolation certificates for operational switching where required.
- Arrange for or complete validation of switching isolation sheets provided by other organisations and distribution entities.
About you
- Electrical Trade certificate and a current Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Licence (or equivalent, essential)
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent experience (desirable)
- Formal Project Management Qualification or equivalent experience
- High Voltage Isolation and Access (HVIA) Switching Officer Certificate (essential)
- High Voltage Isolation and Access Authorisation HS076 (desirable)
- Current drivers license (C Class)
- Expert in the Site Electrical Infrastructure and familiar with system constraints, issues and hazards
- Experience in the maintenance of a modern thermal power station or heavy industry
- Demonstrated competency in High Voltage Switching Isolation Officer Authorisation
- Understanding of operation and maintenance of electricity generating assets
- Understanding of Safe Work Systems and / or similar isolation and work management processes.
