About the role
This is a full‑time position based at Tarong Power Station. It is a hands‑on role supporting the day‑to‑day operation of the plant through lubrication tasks, scaffolding/rigging assistance and general maintenance support. You’ll be part of a busy team that plays a key role in keeping the station running safely and reliably. You will work closely with mechanical fitters, operators and other maintenance teams in a fast‑paced environment where teamwork and communication are essential.
Key activities include:
- Performing lubrication and preventative maintenance such as greasing, oiling and walkdowns
- Assisting with scaffolding, basic rigging or dogging
- Supporting general plant maintenance including housekeeping, inspections and basic mechanical tasks
- Using the CMMS (DMS/Ellipse) to close out work orders, raise defects and order parts
- Using electronic permit systems and contributing to safe work coordination
About you
- High‑risk licences such as forklift or mobile plant operation
- Experience or willingness to train in scaffolding, rigging or dogging
- Experience in a construction or heavy‑industry environment
- Ability to work in a workshop environment; lathe experience highly desirable
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Practical, hands‑on attitude with strong mechanical aptitude
