About the role

This is a full-time opportunity located in Brisbane CBD.

The Facilities Officer manages the maintenance and operational activities across Stanwell’s corporate office facilities to ensure continuity of business operations. The Facilities Officer is responsible for coordinating activities to maintain compliance with relevant lease arrangements, building code regulations, and Australian standards.

This role is the key liaison point between Stanwell and the corporate office’s Building Managers for day-to-day operational and maintenance activities and in the event that an emergency, security or incident response is required. This role is also required to support the Corporate Office Incident Management Team and Crisis Management Team.

Key activities include:

  • Ensure compliance with end-to-end preventative and programmed maintenance schedules and follow up facilities service contractors (including contract management) to achieve efficient maintenance and repair services.
  • Be responsible for providing a safe corporate office environment by taking corrective actions to eliminate hazards, elevating issues and developing options for remediation.  Participate as a corporate workplace contact for the Incident Management Team plus participate as an active member of the Corporate Office Safety Committee.
  • Oversee the day to day operations of workplace services contractors and assist with preparing and tendering contracts to ensure commercial competitiveness. Responsible for ensuring contractors have met all relevant Site Conditions prior to commencing work.

About you

  • Proven knowledge and experience successfully working in a facilities management related role such as building maintenance, workplace services, property management or related fields.
  • Applied knowledge and sound understanding of relevant statutory and legislative compliance frameworks for the management of office accommodation and built environment.
  • Sound office administration skills with intermediate Microsoft Office application skills.
  • Sound knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety legislation and regulations as they pertain to office accommodation.
  • Ability to manage interpersonal relationships in a customer focused environment.
