SAMCo is hiring - Clarke Creek Wind Farm – one of Australia’s largest renewable energy projects. Located in Central Queensland, Clarke Creek is a game-changer, delivering 450 MW of clean and reliable renewable energy in its first stage alone powering homes, businesses, and industries.

 

About the role

This is a full-time permanent opportunity located at Clarke Creek Wind Farm.

As the Service Technician – Trades Assistant, you will assist with the maintenance, installation, and labouring activities at the Clarke Creek Wind Farm site under the direction of the Site Lead/tradespersons, ensuring all activities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.

Key activities include:

  • Assist the Site Lead or Site Tradespeople with all preventative and corrective maintenance and installation related activities for site.
  • Provide day to day maintenance related work at SAMCo, Stanwell locations and Host sites.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are used correctly and maintained in safe working order.
  • Communicate (oral and written) within all levels of the organisation (including the OEM and client).
  • Perform site inventory management duties such as stock takes, unloading, receipt and/or dispatch goods to ensure the right spares and correct levels are maintained for the site.
  • General site cleaning and labouring duties, including using hand and power tools.

 

About you

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current “C” or “MR” or “HR” Driver’s Licence.
  • White Card.
  • Experience in heavy industry mechanical maintenance techniques.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience in heavy industry maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical and electrical equipment and operation and maintenance.
  • Proven effective communication (oral and written), prioritising and organisational skills.
  • Computer literacy (CMMS, Microsoft suite of products etc).
  • Travel intrastate and interstate from time to time.
