About the role

This is a full time 12 months fixed term opportunity located in Brisbane CBD.

The Pricing and Market Analyst position will primarily support the retail function within Energy Markets, placing emphasis on the provision of timely high-quality pricing using sophisticated in-house tools.

This position will also provide information and analysis to the Energy Trading functions, supporting optimisation of Stanwell’s gross margin and commercial outcomes.

Key Activities:

• Retail pricing: Proactively price retail customer loads and support commercial customer expansion and retention.
• Adapt models and processes to meet the demand for lower emission energy alternatives.
• Support integrated spot and contract market strategies.
• Energy market analytics and reporting.

About you

• Experience in energy/electricity markets is desirable.
• Strong analytical skills, particularly in pricing and valuation techniques. 
• Advanced spreadsheet modelling and programming (Python preferred).
• SQL/database query writing.
• Familiarity with contract terms and tender documentation/processes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to maintain good working relationships across teams.
