About the role

This is a full time opportunity located at Stanwell Power Station. The role of the Mechanical Technician is based within the Turbine Plant Strategy Team and is responsible for providing maintenance support, technical advice and input to the operation and maintenance of Power Station Turbine and Generator plant, including the management of plant assets and undertaking continuous plant improvements. This is a great opportunity open to a person studying an associate degree and is looking to further their career working on large scale infrastructure. 

Key activities include

• Maintain reliability of Turbine & Generator mechanical plant and equipment on a large coal fired power plant generation units.
• Work closely with the Turbine Engineering and Major Outage Teams to manage and develop our identified existing and emerging long term maintenance plans
• Identify and implement continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure that compliance across a range of areas is maintained.
• Working within a multi-discipline team to meet deadlines

 About you

• Mechanical Trade Certificate or recognised equivalent
• Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or recognised equivalent
• Applicants currently completing an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering are also strongly encouraged to apply.
