About the role

This is a full time located at Stanwell Power Station outside of Rockhampton

This role is responsible for the coordination the full scope of condition monitoring for primarily vibration, oil and thermography across Stanwell Power Station on all critical and non-critical plant. Lead and coordinate investigations on anticipated and known problem areas, identify the root cause, and develop corrective actions for implementation.

Develop and implement the condition monitoring strategy to incrementally improve the use and effectiveness of condition monitoring to best match the business needs.

Key activities include:

• Conduct vibration analysis of machinery on site and review results
• Maintain, further develop and expand existing condition monitoring databases and condition monitoring hardware.
• Balancing of various rotating machines as required, using Stanwell Power Station’s existing tools.
• Sampling and testing of lubrication
• Follow up repairs and actions with Maintenance Strategies

About you

• Mechanical/Electrical Trade qualifications or associate degree (or equivalent qualifications)
• Accreditation in Vibration Analysis to Category III
• Machinery Lubricant Analysis Cert I
• Level 1 Thermography
• Detailed knowledge and experience in Condition Monitoring within power generation or a heavy process type industry.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
