About the role

This is a permanent opportunity based in Brisbane.

The position will perform strategic project and operational commercial evaluations. Through detailed and considered analysis, modelling and reporting, the incumbent will provide decision support for targeted commercial outcomes with respect to the optimisation of the value of the Stanwell Portfolio.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Undertake conceptual and detailed analytical evaluations on a range of strategic and operational projects.  These include but are not limited to evaluations of Stanwell's energy resource portfolio, comprised of coal, water and renewable resources.
• Support the Energy Markets team with analysis as required including the creation of forecasts and other adhoc analysis.
• Development and maintenance of the financial models and their supportive assumption books.
• Delivery of energy markets financial management reporting, gross margin forecasting and long-term revenue evaluation.
• Document to a high standard the activity or process undertaken to ensure future iterations and post-activity review can be undertaken efficiently.

About you

• Degree in Engineering, Economics, Commerce, Finance, Mathematics, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for report writing and presentations.
• Computer skills:
• Advanced spreadsheet modelling experience
• Other MS Office (e.g. Word, PowerPoint)
• Demonstrated involvement in analysis of data supporting commercial decisions.
