About the role

This is a permanent full-time opportunity located at Tarong Power Stations.

The purpose of the Site Services Team Leader role is to provide work front organisation and supervision to the Project Execution team at Tarong Power Stations.  This team is responsible for the delivery of both mechanical and electrical projects by insuring contractor executed works are carried out safely and effectively and by providing frontline leadership to multi-facetted work teams.

This role will provide front line supervision with time spent on execution works, and coordination of multiple streams of work simultaneously. The role is expected to have the capability to effectively utilise contract resources, manage project timelines and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Key activities include:

  • Monitor daily, weekly and monthly work schedules to ensure compliance project delivery timelines.
  • Monitor, inspect, review, approve and negotiate changes to contract service providers’ quality of workmanship, safety and environment plans, ITPs, KPIs etc to ensure performance meets Stanwell’s requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise and execution input to the team’s projects and processes.
  • Develop, authorise and implement safe work method statements (HIRA/ SWA) to ensure plant and task hazards/ risks are effectively managed.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure open lines of communication are maintained.
  • Provide constructive feedback to direct reports through coaching and mentoring.

About you

  • Qualifications in an appropriate mechanical or electrical trade or equivalent tertiary qualification.
  • Completed (or ability to complete) training within the Safe Work Systems and Safe Work Coordinator qualification.
  • Ability to work successfully within a project delivery environment and effectively manage contractor works.
