About the role

This is a 12-month opportunity that can be based at either our corporate offices in Brisbane City or at our facilities at Stanwell Power Station (Rockhampton) or Tarong Power Station (near Kingaroy)

The Training Specialist is to proactively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external training providers to source, design and deliver technical and compliance training and energy education for our existing and future workforce.  The role bears responsibility for the ongoing assessment, enhancement, implementation, and oversight of training outcomes in alignment with business goals.

 

About you

  • Lead the development and implementation of HSE Training’s content strategy for our operational sites to ensure training is targeted, relevant and effective in, supporting the organisation’s values and goals
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration to ensure technical and compliance training strategies are proactive and aligned to the current and future organisations priorities and the energy industry.
  • Ongoing implementation of modern training technologies, including virtual reality, to enhance learning effectiveness and engagement.
  • Administering the training requirement for our renewable energy personnel and managing their Learning Management System (LMS).

 

Key Activities Include

  • TAE40122 or TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
  • Expertise in user-centred content design and understanding of how to translate complex concepts into engaging, accessible content using tools like the Articulate Rise 360 suite.
  • Extensive knowledge of National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act, VET Quality Framework, Standards for VET Accredited Courses, and Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA).
  • A track record of establishing strategic relationships and positively supporting stakeholders with effective change management processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of operational training compliance, governance and training strategy,
