About the position

This is your opportunity to interact with people at all levels of our business to help drive Energy Market’s strategy through fundamental market and data analysis, continuous improvement initiatives and regular communication across teams within the Energy Markets division. Key activities include:

  • Rotating across our Energy Market teams and adjacent Finance team to broaden your exposure
  • Continually analyse energy markets and generate ideas
  • Analyse data to improve our current strategies
  • Prepare presentations of analysis of market
  • Reporting on outcomes: Produce useful ad hoc reports on historical outcomes and market events.
  • Use market data to drive critical insights that feed into our strategies
  • Building internal and external relationships to create influence, to achieve the Energy Markets strategic objectives.

Please note this is a permanent position, complimented by a 3-year graduate development program.

Is this position for you?

  • To make a meaningful contribution to our team, you will need:
  • A degree in a science or commercial related discipline. You must have graduated from this degree within the last two years. 
  • Strong quantitative background, to continually analyse the portfolio and market conditions
  • Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to communicate at a variety of levels, internal and external to the organisation
  • To Work under broad direction, independently or as part of a team, on activities that may be self-initiated while meeting milestones and timelines.
  • A passion for learning with a positive attitude and ability to take initiative to achieve outcomes.
