About the role

This is a full-time permanent opportunity that can be based at any of our Stanwell locations – Brisbane Office, Stanwell Power Station, Tarong Power Stations.

The Senior Sustainable Procurement Specialist is expected to engage, monitor and maintain highly productive and meaningful relationships between Stanwell and its existing suppliers and stakeholders whilst also identifying and fostering new business focused relationships. This is a critical role for the Procurement & Supply Function nurturing and growing our relationship network with numerous stakeholders and our key partners, who work alongside us to deliver an exciting roadmap of Sustainable Procurement programs and projects.

Key activities include:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of supplier and stakeholder relationships, using strong relationship management and negotiation skills to ensure win-win outcomes for both Stanwell and its key partners.
  • Support the Group Manager Procurement Services with the development and management of vendor and supplier relationship plans, creating genuine partnerships with suppliers and monitoring their engagement with internal teams, and collaborate on agreed Sustainable Procurement strategies.
  • Support the implementation of the Sustainable Procurement Framework which delivers the requirements for Procurement and Supply and the wider business.
  • Lead and implement the Stanwell Regional Supplier Capability Project, identifying and working with specific local suppliers to uplift supply and manufacturing capability in the renewable energy sector.

About you

  • Exceptional capability at building business partnerships across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Solutions focused with a customer centric mentality.
  • Experience in influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and delivering quality outputs within tight timeframes.
  • Knowledge of the various legislation impacting Government owned Corporations including (but not limited to) Queensland Procurement Policy (QPP), Sale of Goods, Trade Practice, Chain of responsibility, Freedom of Information and Privacy Act.
