The project completed feasibility and, with approval, will advance the FEED stage through to FID at the end of 2023. We now have a new role for a Process Engineer - Hydrogen Electrolysis reporting into the Engineering Manager to support Project ideation, providing specialist input in the FEED study.

The project completed feasibility and, with approval, will advance the FEED stage through to FID at the end of 2023. We now have a new role for a Process Engineer - Hydrogen Electrolysis reporting into the Engineering Manager to support Project ideation, providing specialist input in the FEED study.

Responsibilities and Outcomes

  • Drive development of large-scale hydrogen production plant.
  • Demonstrating safety leadership through a strong personal safety attitude and the development and application of systems and processes.
  • Develop an understanding of customer needs and product requirements.
  • Developing effective relationships across the corporation and influencing engineering decisions and standards by technical credibility and knowledge without direct line control.
  • Ensuring consultants and OEMs/contractors deliver to the agreed quality, cost, and time.
  • Provide technology assessments and technology recommendations for the Project.
  • Provide process engineering expertise, ensuring risks are understood, controlled and reduced to deliver safe and competitive solutions.

This is an 18 months’ contract opportunity with the potential to join the Growth & Futures Energy Team on a permanent basis and be involved in further high-profile Renewable Projects. The role is based in our Brisbane Office and offers flexible work culture.

About you

  • Significant engineering experience predominantly in leading design, development and deployment of new large-scale industrial plant/ projects.
  • Experience in hydrogen electrolysis.
  • Experience in renewable energy is advantageous.
  • Experience evaluating new technologies for implementation on a large industrial scale.
  • Proven track record of innovation, reducing costs and improving efficiency.
  • Familiarity with hydrogen and electrolysis technology and equipment providers.
  • Experience in working with third party consultants and OEM teams, including technical and contract negotiation and issues resolution.

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, science or equivalent.
